Hannah and her dad came to Samui in October last year and that’s when I first learned of Hannah + Pete’s story, it just got better and better the more I heard! When I finally got to meet Pete for our love story session before the wedding, we were laughing (and adventuring together) like old friends! Their story is seriously one of the sweetest I’ve heard and I’m sure you’ll agree!
Hanah and Pete met a towards the end of high school, Pete saw here from across the field and took note, later that night texting his friend for the number of that beautiful girl he saw at the game.
He succeeded, and messaged her and they went out, towards the end of the night Hannah told him she would be leaving the next day for Bali and then would be moving straight to England…
Four years later, Peter decided he wanted to know what Hannah was up to and found her on Facebook and ‘friended’ her. Then began 8 months of messages, which turned to emails and calls and then Skype calls. And soon enough Hannah was making plans to visit Peter in Sydney to test out their love for real.
Obviously things worked out.
They got married at the InterContinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort, which has some of my favourite view on the whole of Samui… I just LOVE photographing weddings here! This venue is perfect for these two, as you’ll soon see….
Hannah and the girls and her mum got ready in a gorgeous villa, high up on the hills.
Don’t you just love their invitations?! They are like a mini passport, so cute!!!
Meanwhile the boys were in an awesome room with an awesome view, chilling out and cracking jokes… just as I’d expected.
Pete is a professional videographer in Perth, so it’s a HUGE honour (as always) to have my peers trust me enough + want to hire me to be a part of their special day.
They planned to have their wedding ceremony up near the InterContinental‘s lobby, over looking this stunning view. I mean, what a way to take your guests’ breath away!
The lovely team of Khun Best from Wedding Idea Thailand looks after most of the weddings at the InterContinental, he’s talented and professional and a lovely person to have around on your wedding day!
The girls were so excited to check out Hannah in her dress!
The last look of a proud and loving mum before she gets to watch her daughter walk up the aisle to her future husband…
And a happy + proud dad as well. <3 <3
SO much love all over!
Uhhhhh…. How stunning are these two together?!?
We headed off for some bridal party photos soon after the ceremony.
I’m so happy to get to work with my amazing clients! It was SUPER hot that afternoon but I’m so happy that everyone went with it and braved the heat.
I mean check out this gorgeous light right here! <3 <3 Photographers’ dream!
Pete and his best mates didn’t look too shabby either 😉
And then there were 2 (well including me, it was technically 3… but we all know I’m super stealthy and I wasn’t really there at all!)….
No seriously though. That look is that Pete is the only person there and the rest of everything just melted away. This is the time you need on your wedding day just a few minutes away from it all, alone + together.
The sunset view they had was seriously gorgeous!
Beautiful setup of the reception area by Khun Best and his team! 🙂
Air Bar at the InterContinental… an amazing spot to watch the sun go down!
Pete made one of the most heartfelt speeches, which eventually made Hannah cry… she had managed to not to the whole day too! <3 <3
One happy guy right there.
Hannah + Pete had their first dance followed by one with their parents…
And then DJ Steve Bray got the party started…
Happy Friday! I hope you enjoyed reading 😀
