Catherine + Filippo are two people from completely different sides of the globe. New Zealand + Italy. When Catherine decided to move to Italy and teach, she had no idea that she would fall so head over heels with not only the country she moved to but the people, the language, culture and its FOOD.
Catherine + Filippo got married in St. Anna’s Church which ensured they had a lovely ceremony with their closest friends and family as witnesses.
The grounds of St. Anna’s Church has some beautiful gardens where we got some cute bride + groom + family photos!
We then got in the car and headed back to the reception location, the Impiana. One the way Catherine and Filippo chatted in Italian, and I found out that it’s actually their love language. As I listened to them talk, not understanding a word I could hear the love + passion in their voices and knew no other language spoken together would be right for them.
We made a stop off at the Crystal Bay, one of my favorite beaches on Samui for some private bride and groom photos.
Catherine’s dress had this stunning back made of beads + lace!
Yep, Crystal Bay was good to us that evening… what a gorgeous sunset + beautiful light!
Catherine had “I do” on her shoes.. such a cute touch 🙂
We decided to head back to the resort and on the way back to our car saw these beautiful Thai spirit houses, so naturally we took some photos!
Catherine + Filippo were excited to be announced husband + wife in front of all their friends and family and laughed at the huge cheer they got once back at the Impiana.
They chose some beautiful details to be included in the beach wedding and I especially loved the talented saxophonist they had playing during cocktail hour. The table settings were beautiful and fitted in with theri beachy theme well with some cute starfish favors at the seats.
Before I left, I managed to get this portrait of Catherine looking beautiful on the beach surrounded by candles in the sand… the beginning of a perfect night.
